New Almancil Cycling Season 26/27

The new season has begun: we’re back on our bikes!

After the summer break, the bikes are rolling again, helmets are being fastened and training sessions have returned to Almancil Cycling, our cycling school in Almancil.

But returning to training means much more than simply getting back on the bike. It means meeting friends again, rebuilding routines, challenging limits once more and starting a new chapter with the desire to learn, improve and, above all, enjoy cycling.

For many of our young riders, this return also means coming back to a place where they feel part of a team, where every training session brings new challenges and where every small achievement matters. It is this atmosphere of learning, friendship and enthusiasm that we want to continue building throughout the new season.

As we return, we want to celebrate:

  • meeting up with teammates again;
  • building new routines;
  • the desire to learn and improve;
  • the joy of getting back on the bike.

More than learning how to ride a bike

We believe cycling is about much more than simply learning to ride better. Every training session is also an opportunity to develop confidence, independence, responsibility, perseverance and team spirit.

During our cycling training sessions, we work on skills such as balance, bike control, braking, cornering, coordination and other essential techniques that help every young rider feel more comfortable and safer on two wheels.

But progress is not measured by technique alone. Overcoming an exercise that once seemed difficult, tackling an obstacle with greater confidence, or simply feeling more secure on the bike are all important achievements and part of each rider’s development.

In every training session, we aim to develop:

  • balance and bike control;
  • safety and confidence;
  • coordination and technique;
  • independence and responsibility.

Learn, explore and have fun

Not everyone arrives with the same level of experience, and that diversity is part of what makes our school special. Some young riders already have many kilometres in their legs, while others are only beginning to discover everything a bicycle can offer. What matters most is that each young rider has the opportunity to learn and improve at their own pace, in a positive, safe and supportive environment.

We want our training sessions to be moments of learning, but also of discovery and fun. Because before results, races or competition, there should be the simple pleasure of riding, the desire to come back for the next training session and the satisfaction of feeling that, little by little, progress is being made.

At our cycling school in Almancil, this is exactly what we aim to create: the right conditions for children and young people to find their own starting point and move forward progressively through practice and challenges suited to their experience.

The most important thing is that every young rider can:

  • learn at their own pace;
  • try and overcome new challenges;
  • build confidence on the bike;
  • have fun while improving.

Team spirit

Cycling may seem like an individual sport, but at a cycling school you quickly learn that no one improves alone. We train together, learn together, share difficulties and celebrate each other’s achievements.

It is also through these shared experiences that friendships, memories and a true sense of belonging are created. At Almancil Cycling, we want to provide a place where children and young people can practise sport, grow, make friends and feel part of a team. Team spirit, mutual support and respect for others are values we aim to bring into every training session.

Behind this work is also our team, who support, guide and encourage our young riders throughout their development, respecting each individual’s experience, abilities and pace.

Being part of the team also means learning to:

  • help teammates;
  • respect others;
  • share challenges
  • and achievements;
  • grow together.

A new season, new challenges

With the start of this new season come new goals, new experiences and many moments we want to share. There will be training sessions, races, activities and challenges, but there will also be many of those small everyday moments that are part of life at a cycling school and often become lasting memories.

It is also with this spirit that our News & Tips section was created. We want it to be a way to follow life at Almancil Cycling more closely, get to know our riders, look back on activities and show a little of what happens both during and beyond our training sessions.

Throughout the season, we want to share stories, photographs, news, races, experiences and useful cycling content. We want this space to follow the journey of the school and everyone who rides with us.

Throughout this season, we will share:

  • training sessions and activities;
  • races and new challenges;
  • stories from our young riders;
  • photographs and moments from the school;
  • cycling tips and useful content.

The journey starts here

A bicycle can be just a bicycle, but it can also be the beginning of many things: a friendship, a passion for sport, a personal achievement, or simply the desire to go a little further.

At Almancil Cycling, we want to support every young rider on that journey, respecting their pace, helping them improve and creating the conditions for them to discover everything cycling has to offer.

Our journey is about:

  • learning;
  • improving;
  • building confidence;
  • making friends;
  • enjoying cycling.
